After the two had returned back to the castle, they worked hard on giving abundance of riches and joy to their people. Time passed, autumn was over and the winter season was approaching. The Princess thought a lot about her motherland and the lovely snow that was falling just at this time of the year. However, there never fell any snow in the kingdom of her beloved Prince. Time and again she told her husband how much she missed the snow and her home country covered in white. Suddenly, the Princess became sad and fell ill.

So the Prince brought doctors and scholars from everywhere to cure the Princess. They tried all sorts of remedies and medicines, but it seemed as if nothing could help the Snow Princess. Even after many weeks, the Snow Princess was still feeling sick.
